Olympus D460Z manual control?

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Imaging Resource Discussion : One Thread

Has Olympus added any features in the D460Z that will allow manual DOF control, etc? Also, will it now retain custom settings when it is turned off?

These are the only complaints I have with my D400Z, otherwise, I think the 400 series is excellent!

Thank you.

Hi, I am really enjoying my Oly D460Z (C960 over here). So easy to carry around - and ready for action! It's comfortable to hold, control and shoot with one hand. Excellent image quality for a 1.3Mp - even in low light and now has a simple easy-to-navigate menu.

The D460Z does "remember" custom settings when it is switched off but they are lost when you change the batteries. As for manual control of depth of field etc, I am afraid you can't. There is no manual aperture priority - though maybe setting the camera to 500 ISO and an EV of -1 in good lighting may force it to stop down for greater depth of field???

Good luck, Gary
