I've only watched a couple of episodes. I enjoyed them, but since I know the episodic formula, I knew how they'd turn out.

I've watched more episodes of Angel than Buffy; Angel was rather fun. I never watched an episode of Buffy where Angel was on, but the Angel show is rather humorous and didn't have the expected ending. Are the show formats the same between them and I just caught a couple of bad Buffy's or is Angel substantially different?

This season of Buffy has been a little inconsistent with all the cast changes and the Angel spinoff, but if you can get your hands on any 2nd and 3rd season Buffy tapes, you'll see the best of Buffy and Angel (he's really good when he's evil). I'm praying for quick syndication. Especially cause I miss seeing my boyfriend every week.
