Bradford playing in Europe

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Unofficial Newcastle United Football Club BBS : One Thread

Unless the calendar says April 1, Sporting Life have a report saying Bradford are in the second round with their first game July 1 or 2.

They'll either play a Turkish team or a Lithuanian team.

Isn't that when the BBS crowd are meeting up for the Bobster's stag do? May as well enter the Intertoto ourselves, we have as much right to be there as bloody Bradford and would probably get a bit further in the competition to boot.

That's bizarre. Apparently they declined to enter the comp despite having been interested 'cos UEFA said they'd refuse to accept a relegated club (shows what confidence Bradford had in themselves!!). Having survived the drop, and with an Eye-Tie team dropping oot, Bradford are set to come in at the second round. Does this mean you can decide which round you want to join? For Gawd's sake divvent tell Taggert - it's just the loophole he's looking for.

I agree with Softie. Perhaps the BBS side should challenge Bradford (jumpers, running goalie etc) and the winners go thru to the Inter totty. On second thoughts, it might be against a Turkish side. I'll stick to Greek kebabs, thank you very much.

Hmm - even more bizarre. Just noticed when I replied to this thread, an e-,ail was sent to one William Kane (can't remember - ist hat Tre??). Does this mean he's subscribed to follow the whole forum by e-mail??? Hell's bells - he'll have a stack of notes from Gav.

What's the weather doing in manureland Screach?
It's back to winter up here - wet, windy and bloody cold! Typical Bank Holiday in fact.
Fortunately, that means I won't feel guilty staying in to watch the England game this afternoon.
I only hope the rain has relented dahn sarf as the Wembley pitch was virtually waterlogged last night.

Weather report.

Yesterday (Saturday) was pretty OK. Managed to cut the hedge in the morning/early afternoon with only a short sharp shower. Relaxation on the couch watching footy and then back in the garden to cut the grass. Barmy spring evening. Nice.

When I woke this morning, it was p1$$1ng doon, but it's clearing up now so I might get the rest of the hedge done before the play-offs.
