COURT THROWS OUT "JESUS" LAWSUIT AGAINST CHURCHES

MUNICH (CWNews.com) - A German court on Wednesday threw out a lawsuit brought by three theologians against the Catholic Church and Protestant churches on behalf of Jesus Christ.

The theologians, calling themselves "brothers in spirit" of Jesus, sued under a law that allows people to defend their dead relatives from slander. They argued that the churches' roles in religious fighting, wars, and political intrigue over the centuries slandered the name of Christ. "In view of their bloody history, it's a fraud," they said in the lawsuit.

The court threw out the case on the grounds that the German constitution guarantees religious freedom and added that since Christ was resurrected, He is not dead and therefore they had no right to bring a case on His behalf.
