How to scan quantities of slides *this* way?

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Imaging Resource Discussion : One Thread

Hello. I have a Nikon LS-2000 *with feeder*, but am worried that I will need a different system altogether for scanning the many sheets of 35mm slides that I receive. Is there something like a good sheet-feeding add-on to a good flatbed scanner that will allow me to place, say, a couple of dozen slides on the scanner for scanning at once? *Or* is it a case of investing big money into something like a Scitex EverSmart Jazz scanner? Scans for our pruposes do not ned to be excrutaiatingly perfect in terms of color-balance, nor do they need to satisfy the enthusiast with his loupe (;-)) but they need to show things like endoscopic details adequately well.

Thanks, Matthew.
