why only take 12 pix says full should be 15

i delete all photos out of camera but i should be able to take 15 pix but at 12 pix it says full wont take any more pix 12 only. its a poloroid fun!flash digital camera.

Answers

The size of each picture file can vary in jpeg mode based on the content of the image. The compression works better on some images than others. 15 may be an average number and your images may require larger file sizes. In general, the more complex (many different colors, tones, objects, etc. the larger the resulting file after compression.

If you have the option of reformatting the storage (rather than just deleting the images) try doing that. The storage media becomes fragmented as you store and delete images just has the hard disk in your computer. Fragmented storage (and HDs) become rather inefficient and will store less data.

The previous answer is also a possible cause of the problem.
