"May Day"

I just thought of something. On "ER" they had a intervention for Carter. On "Party of Five" they had one for Bailey. I just realized the episodes for both were kind of the same. On ER they confronted Carter about his drug addiction. On PO5 They confronted Bailey on his alcohol problem. Both Carter and Bailey got mad and accused other people of their problems. Correct me if I'm wrong but didn't Bailey finally break down like Carter did after that? Just thought I share a little similarity between bith of those shows.

Actually they may be similar because they are fairly good parallels of "real life". Interventions don't always work, but when they are attempted they are usually met with resistance from the addicted person. I think that Carter's actually went pretty well, mostly because this was so out of his element and I think he really wanted help. Bailey's, if I remember correctly, didn't go as well, and he actually had several set backs during his recovery. I hope that Carter's recovery goes smoother.

I said this too right after I saw it, because it helped me out to see that the way Carter was responding was typical in the situation. That POF episode was probably the most watched, and it was done pretty well. Although they sort of got through to him, he didn't really "get it" until he got his ex-girlfriend into a car accident. But the way they were done were similar, I thought of it right away. I was glad that Bailey was so combative (he reminded 3 out of 4 of his siblings of their worst mistakes), so I wasn't as angry that Carter took a cheap shot at Deb. Most people would get incredibly defensive in that situation, and grasp to drastic measures.
