Not wishing to pour cold water on this thread.....but this same guy (Graeme Fawell) also posted this on the Strawberry Board, asking for people to write about Sunderland.

Am I being overly suspicious in suggesting that someone who professes to be putting together a website for 'north east football fans' but can't tell the difference between a Newcastle United and Makem board.....could be doing a huge wind up.

Hmm. There's a massive football website (clue: not much liked on here) that writes to people asking them to write articles and promising payment etc. I have a mate in Northern Ireland who ended up owed thousands.

Ever the cynic, it sounds a classic ploy either by some lazy hack looking for regular and free material to network, or by a company wanting to cash in on a guaranteed market (ie. us) for their own commercial gains. Personally I wouldn't even get my barge pole out of its cardboard container until I'd seen how the web site is looking. Different story for people you know of naturally, but strangers requesting help for nowt .... ?
