Probably right, but I wouldn't rule out Batistuta at some point soon.

Darren Peacock (much to Susie's disgust)

Keith Gillespie (a dead cert, eh?)

The Makems on the RTG are wetting themselves at the thought that they might sign Dizzy.........

To coin a phrase, Peacock is a dead duck these day's isn't he. I though the world of him when he played at SJP, especially one he tied his hair back in a pony-tail.....he played cr@p with it all hanging loose, but he is second or third division material now surely.

That ZZ top bloke. Heard a rumour from my favourite publican that he wanted to play in the Premier League but would only consider us or Liverpool. Now looks like the caveman is staying at Juve - shame.

Do you think we could confuse the Arse and off load Lionel Perez to them and make them think he is Piriz

I think the only real hope is to flog him to a male brothel as Lionel Blair!

Fernando Miera!
According to The Journal this morning he's agreed terms with both Udinese and Vicenza - hardly giants of European footy!
Apparently he would prefer Vicenza, but Udinese have agreed to pay his present Club #3mm.
Looks like another Toon target has slipped through the net.

Bernard Diomede - former Toon target, reported as close to joining Liverpool for a bargain #2mm. Can play wide left or through the middle.

Gudjohnsen. Chelsea have confirmed signing him at 4m pounds, giving him a 5yr contract.

Sunderland may now be ready to make a move for Belgium winger Bart Goor following his country's exit in Euro 2000. Peter Reid is believed to be interested in the 27-year-old left winger, although he was far from impressive in the co-hosts 2-0 defeat to Turkey that ended their Championship campaign.

Anderlecht manager Michel Verschueren has already claimed he is anticipating a bid in the region of #3 million for his star player, whether or not that comes from the Sunderland boss remains to be seen.

Reid was also said to be keen on Goor's Belgian team-mates Gert Verheyen and Emile Mpenza, although both were disappointing in the Turkey trouncing.

Reid will, however, continue to keep a close eye on Euro 2000 for further targets with Romanian Christian Chivu remaining on his hit-list.

Well that's two players people on here like, Goor and Chivu. A left fullback and left winger. Both possible needs for our club.
