Anyone using Bergger prestige paper? I am wondering how long and what dilution for selenium toning for maximum black.

I keep reading about selenium toning for max black in the print. Doesn't anyone know how to get max black on their print? You shouldn't be relying on selenium toner to acheive D-max of the paper. Color change yes but not D-max. James

I wrote extensively about Bergger paper in another thread. Please seek it out for more information or, e-mail me directly. I've been using Bergger paper - Prestige warm tone, neutral tone, and Fine-Art Silver Supreme - exclusively. This paper responds to selenium beautifully! I use a dilution of 1:15 for 3-4 minutes. Bergger paper is very sensitive to selenium, so make sure you keep a watchful eye over your photos as they tone.

It's expensive...how does it in semi-matt (vc warm tomne) compare with MC Classic and Forte in their semi-matt????
