.....but Christ a light, Raul's goal to give Real Madrid a 3-0 lead was something else......did anyone see it.

Clearance from the Real area, chipped over the top to Raul who was 20 - 25 yards INSIDE his own half and he went straight down the pitch rounded the keeper and into the net.........

A class beyond.....

He's awesome - how much is he worth ?

Thought Real were good value. Raul, Redondo, and McMananamanamanam were just excellent in m/f, well supported by two great f/b's - Carlos and the other blerk (!)

PS no better than Supermac v Burnley @ Hillsborough 74.

I though it was a pretty good game all round, but I still can't understand the 'problem' is with Macmanamen........he scores a pretty good goal, although he reckoned it came off his shin, but few of his own players even seemed to want to congratulate him.......if that is what they think of him, I would loved to have seen what would have happened if Anelka had scored, cos he still supposed to be hated in the dressing room.

Brilliant goal! As I`ve said before, I`d love us to have MacManamanaman, Raul and their young goalie too! Ah, pipe dreams! (:o)

I just want us to sign Roberto Carlos

Roberto Carlos was excellent too! Is he always that physical, I hadn`t noticed before, but last night he was chopping away at everybody! (:o)

Everything a Cup Final should be. Great football, noisy crowd. Not like that sh*te we slept through on Saturday. That keeper is amazing for a 19 year old.

Re MacManananamman, ITK, I agree that at times it all seems a bit strained with his teammates, and I don't think it's just Macca. But on the other side, he certainly got lots of the ball. Normally, if a player is being shunned by his team mates it reflects on the ptch, and they never integrate him into the game.

I was also impressed with Carlos. Never knew he could defend so well. he would be a dream signing, but I don't think we have a pair of shorts big enough for his tree trunk size thighs!

Thought the 1st Madrid goal was a bit soft, Djukic left his man with a free header in the 6 yd box...good finish, mind. MacMananananan looked dangerous, but lots of overweighted passes. Wasn't a crisp finish but the Kung-Fu high kick always looks impressive :-) Raul's goal was cooly taken, but I think Dyer's goal vs Everton was classier :-))

I thought they were all good goals, but macca's the best of the 3 IMO, although the keeper was probably unsighted. Maybe it was euphoria from winning, but they all looked the best of mates to me. Entertaining game as well - tailed off in the last quarter though.

It would have been different if it had been Man U rather than Valenthia.

I can guarantee you that Solkjaear would have chased Raul the full length of the pitch before pulling him down just outside the box.

And they still managed to squeeze taggart into the act. What a bunch of tossers.

I don't know what you lot are on about. I'd much rather watch an early goal, 85 minutes of time wasting and then two in injury time to win it for the side with the quietest fans. After all, we had a whole year of hearing that it was the best Final of all time and they've won me over...
