Hughes to be offered a new contract

So goes the talk in the Journal. Bobby wants him tied into a long term contract before other clubs snatch him away.
Found this bit amusing...
Although Hughes has played no part in the club's West Indian tour, he volunteered to travel to Trinidad and Tobago with an injury, knowing Robson was short of defensive cover. It is that kind of attitude and the Irishman's cool head under pressure which has made him a key part of United's Premiership plans and persuaded the club's management team to nurture an exciting young talent rather than target another defender from abroad.

Hmmmmm, company paid trip to the Caribbean vs sitting in the Chester le Street treatment room in the north of England? I'm sure he was only thinking of the team! ;-)))

Aaron obviously knows how to please the boss: showing enthusiasm and desire to play all the time. I don't mind the lad getting a nice tan considering he's been one of the main anchors last season, playing across the back line in every position - a veritable Stevey Watson!
