Great News!

This mornings comics (well the Sun) report that Uriah Rennie and Paul Alcock have been dropped from the premier league list for next season and must ply their tirade (sic) in the nationwide! Apparently due to poor marks.

I can't remember much about Alcock but I'll never forgive Rennie for that unbelievable Shearer sending off! :o))))

Poor bastards...... the Nationwide teams that is!

Can't remember Alcock? I certainly do after the WHam away game. Scott Minto crocked Dabs, took a lump out of Dyer's heels and bundled over Nobby in the space of 20 mins...the result? One yellow card, despite all three being challenges from behind - an instant red card offence.

Glad to see the pair of them off...perhaps they can't 'relegate' more than 2 refs in a season, 'cos Poll should've joined them.

Which refs have been 'promoted' from the Nationwide?
I hope Terry Heilbron is among them. He's the best I've seen for some time - in fact since Uriah Rennie was reffing in the Nationwide!!!! Oh well, maybe he isn't that good after all!

Must be a relief to Andy D'Urso; he's only just come up and they must have decided to give him another season to try to settle before giving him the inevitable chop: bit like the mackems(ptuh!).

YYYEEEEESSSSSSSS!!!!! :-)

Now when do they get rid of Winter, Jones, and D'@rso?

Winter is arguably the worst of the lot. D'Urso has looked poor but it was his first season and perhaps deserves another shot.
I've been very disappointed with Urinal Rennie - he looked a terrific referee in the Nationwide. I suspect the FA filled his head so full of 'directives' (ie. cr@p), that he stopped using the common sense that had made him a good referee in the first place. In all seriousness, I find this very worrying - why should a perfectly good referee become a bad one in only two seasons in the PL?
