Is there ANY way to avoid buying more memory?

I'm going on vacation to Singapore, Bangkok, and Kuala Lumpur next month. My father will soon be buying a Casio QV8000SX just for our vacation. The camera comes with a meagre 8 MB compact flash. Buying any more memory would be a hard decision because it's too expensive (he's buying it from Kuwait where it costs $70 per 8 MB... a rip off!) And no, we will not buy a notebook. Is there ANY way out?

I was wondering if Internet stations (cyber cafes) in these countries permit tourists to upload pictures to their computers and post it to Zing.com or some such site. I can always carry along the hardware I have and use it on their computer. But will they agree to it?

I'd suggest having him buy extra memory once he gets to Singapore, which (I think) has fully competitive markets and good pricing.
