Helder has not attended the T&T trip probably because of injury. As the season has now finished his agreement must be a few days from ending. What will happen to him?

I must admit I wouldn't pay #4mill for him because of his injury record, but he has looked a comfortable defender. Worth buying?........

Hmm difficult question really....is it really worth shelling out 4million on yet ANOTHER defender when we can't get rid of what we've got?

YBR obviously rates him and would like to buy him but my gut feeling is that we'd need to sell someone to cover his purchase....and there's not much chance of that happening is there :)))

As has been previously reported, BR won't pay #4mm for Helder who has a chronic knee problem - although it seems to have been groin problems that have restricted his appearances here.
I have a feeling that Helder will eventually stay at SJP, but at a much reduced fee. My guess is that BR won't pay more than ca. #1mm for him, and even then with part of the fee payable based on appearances. If his club insist on more than that then simply we won't see him back.
