Do any cameras other than Kodak support auto-rotate

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Imaging Resource Discussion : One Thread

I have a Kodak DC-260 but have been considering replacing it with an Olympus 3030 or other similar camera that has more manual control of the settings. There is one feature on the Kodak that I really, really like and I rarely see it mentioned on any cameras comparisons, even when the Kodak cameras are listed. Are there any other cameras the sense the way you are holding the camera and automatically rotate the images so that everything is upright when you view it on the comuter screen? This feature saves me lots of time and makes viewing the results of a shoot effortless. Unfortunately, I've never seen it mentioned on any other cameras. Can someone please tell me what other brands support this?? Thanks, Joe

Joe,

I believe the new Sony S70 and recently announced Sony 505V (but not the currently available 505) do what you want. I'm not sure if the new Sony Mavicas (FD85, FD90, and FD95) do or don't. Also, I'm not aware of any other digital cameras that do this.

Good luck!

casio qv-3000 ex has that capability.. once you load the pics in the comp with the casio-photoloader it recognize the camera orientation and turns the pics automatically so that it will alwyas be in the right orientation..
