i'm new what do i need

i'm kind of new to developing my own photo's so what should i get to start? i would like to know the must haves and what i really don't need. so if you could help me i would be ever greatful.

What format? 35mm? 120? 4x5? THe equipment will depend on your format.

Really, size does matter, second, do what I did, sell your car, boat, house, and dog, so you can afford to develop your prints; third, umm... ok no number three...

My suggestion would be to go to the library. There are bound to be a book or two on getting started. A book of this nature, out of date or no will give you a place to start. then look at what your recources are. Good Luck !
