Need help with these ERiq Awards categories!!

greenspun.com : LUSENET : ER Discussions : One Thread

I was getting ready to vote for the ERiq Awards on the ER Daily website, but I just couldn't think of anything for the following categories:

*Most miraculous medical recovery *Most heroic act *Most memorable patient *Funniest scene

It's not that I want anyone to give me answers, but maybe some of you could refresh my memory. I can't even remember any miraculous medical recoveries (except maybe Carter - would that count?) And most of the funny scenes I remember are from the earlier seasons. Thanks for any help!

Melanie, I left those categories blank, myself, but if you want to be really diligent, you can go to http://www.digiserve.com/er/episodes/ and read the Summary/Reviews for the season.

I think that Paul Sobricki is the most memorable patient of ANY season. Who else has had so much impact on our beloved characters?

OK, this is what I put: *Most Miraculous Medical Recovery: Carter *Most heroic Act: Lucy for saving the woman with the heart problem in the Christmas episode. *Most Memorable Patient: Paul Sobricki ( that Bastard!) *Funniest Scene: Carol humming while she was in labor.

There you go, I hope that helps!

Funniest Scene - SSS - When Kerry uses a whistle to wake up Malucci and he hit his head with the lamp light and also calling him a festus.

He called HER "Festus".

I voted for Lucy as the most memorable patient. For the funniest scene, Ichose Carol in labor in the ER, screaming for Carter to get out. But there were other funny moments, like the one with Kerry using the whistle to wake up Dave. And Elizabeth discovering that David and her mother had slept together. Romano taking everyone to task after the prescription mix up, which I think was in "Viable Options." Carter treating Fazio's MU pain in "Match Made in Heaven."

I had trouble with the most miraculous recovery one, too. Just goes to show you that ER focuses much more on the docs' personal lives and much less on their interactions with/treatment of patients than it used to. I finally voted for the poor guy who got brought in on Valentine's night. It was a miracle he lived through it since Benton didn't want to leave Carter to come operate on him and he got stuck with Finch babysitting him.

For funniest scene I can not decide between Deb calling Carter out of Johnny on the spot (hee) or Cater and Chunnie(sp??) snow ball fight. That was too funny!!

For best line i am putting "If anyone needs me we'll be in the MEN'S room"

Thanks for the interest Melanie and the rest! Delighted to learn about this discussion of the ERiqs. Judie, thanks for providing the web site address.

The ERiqs are open at the moment, we accept votes from anyone. So if you want to have your say and see your favourites go home clutching that award and sobbing happy tears all over their evening clothes, you can get the details you require at;

http://www.hiley.demon.co.uk/eriq/

or at

http://www.eriqawards.freeserve.co.uk/

I'm here to help with ballots and answer queries (though obviously I can't give an opinion on what you should choose. Sorry, while you can all discuss it, I have to be neutral!)

Hope to hear from you. Thanks again.
