Trappatoni leaving Fiorentina

From f365:

Fiorentina coach Giovanni Trapattoni has announced that he will not be renewing his contract with the Florence club. Unable to repeat the success he had winning six Serie A titles with Juventus in the 1970s and 1980s, the 61-year-old coach issued a press release confirming his decision to leave the club. The Florence club qualified for next year's UEFA Cup with a 3-0 win in the final game of the season, but they look likely to lose star striker Gabriel Batistuta. The Argentina international has asked to be sold to a team with championship hopes. Trapattoni, who also won a championship with Inter Milan, has been with Fiorentina for three years. He has been linked with posts both inside and outside Italy.

Worth going for that German left wingback or Rui Costa if we could.

Rui Costa would be ideal, attacking midfielder and proven quality. He must know the quality of Bobby as a coach due to the portugse connection.

Which Left wingback would that be Softie?

Apparently the Fiorentina fans are outreged by the impending departure of Batistuta, it would be like Shearer having an impending departure to Manure.

And just cos the coach is leaving doesn't mean that they're needing/wanting to sell their players :))

They're actually still financially well off at the moment...

Jorg Heinrich. Kept Ziege out of the German national side and he's no slouch, is he?

Fiorentina will have to look at a major shake up of players. They've underachieved constantly (like Liverpool over the last few seasons - great players but crap combination) and need to get back to basics.

Worth keeping an eye on developments here. We're gonna need a younger coach when YBR finally hangs up his boots

That German wing back is one ugly pug faced sorry German, I'm not sure we could cope with having him in the dressing room. Shearer would just keep laughing at him all the time. Pistone and Hughes seem to be th left backs for next year, with Barton and Griffin on the right. At least we've sorted out one area of our defence.

I think Goma and Domi will leave in the summer, ther's too much smoke for there to be no fire ot the stories. I only hope Domi doesn't go to Liverpool because he'll automatically play left back and be a raging success.
