A big five oh party tomorrow night, but apart from that, not a lot planned. I might dodder round the garden till the car pulls off the drive when my wife goes to the Metro Centre, rearrange a few bits and pieces so it looks like I've been grafting. Just being away from work does me.

Cinema tonight to see the Gladiator.

Gym Sat am, then possibly few hours on Championship Manager 97/98, spot of lunch possibly pub based. Sat eveing I'm off to Aylesbury with my girlfriend to see some of her friends (grreat!!)

Sunday, helping mate with his back garden on the premise that he keeps the chilled lager and pizza flowing to keep the strenght up.

Sunday night, usual Sunday evening pint, discussing the merits of winning the lottery and going into work the next day and answering every request with, "Do it yourself I can't be arsed!"

Pretty normal really.

Having a BBQ next weekend to coincide with the England game, having just found out last week when the match was. I have to organise for that.

I am off sick at the moment and I have the joyful task of cleaning the house. The kitchen floor is finished. 1 coat of stain, 3 coats of varnish...thank god!

Will watch the cup tomorrow, shouting for villa all the way.

Still have a strip of skirting baord to paint.

I am sure I will fit the pub in there somewhere

Gav,

Shame I'm not about in Northampton much this weekend otherwise you would have been welcome to join me for a pint in the local!

Weather here is torrential rain followed by sunshine...repeat chorus etc etc.

Headed to an outlet store today to check out their new shipment. I'm badly in need of spring/summer job interview wear. The problem with spending 3yrs at a as-long-as-your-naughty-bits-are-covered-we-don't-care-what-you-wear company.
Tomorrow morning, off to the pub to watch the cup with friends coming in from out of town. Haven't seen them in a year...since we were all in London this time last year. *sigh*
No plans for the rest of the weekend yet. But spending some time checking out companies planning to be at a job fair next week will be on the agenda at some point.
Exciting stuff, eh. ;-)

Outlet shopping! Great - I spent a fortune in NJ! Very odd though - nobody but nobody walks anywhere! The outets were just a short walk from the hotel (which you will know `cos of the conference thing), but they still take taxis! It took about two minutes to drive there. Even on the short walks between outlets I didn`t see anyone on foot - in fact, there weren`t any pavements as such. I did start to feel a wee bit uneasy! I think we probably take a lot for granted here, safety wise. Even when we went out for a meal in New Jersey, the staff said it was safer to wait inside for the taxi to take us back to the hotel. We actually had a taxi drive who spoke English, and we were chatting to him on the way back. He gave us a real lecture on safety and told us that there were lots of areas he wouldn`t even drive through. Needless to say, we took heed of his warnings.(:o)

Geordie - did you go to the Superbikes? (:o)

Good place Aylesbury! It`s where I hatched my sprogg!!!!! (:o)

No plans for the weekend whatsoever! Intend finishing Birdsong - excellent book! Thanks for the recommendation everyone! (:o)

The moves on Sunday and I won't be watching the cup final! But I shouldn't have been moving this week end now should I?

Know what you mean! That`s probably why I have nothing in my diary for this weekend. It sucks doesn`t it! Even had two tickets in my grubby little hands! This time next year.........! (:o)
