Hi, Jake: I've met DI Dough a few times, and as far as I know he is ok. He plays all over the upper midwest, and talks like he plays pretty big. I know several others who know him better than I do: JimmyB, Bob Loeb, and Math Prof, so I'll check around, but those three have all had social interactions with him, so I'm certain he's a real player. BTW, keep us informed about your workshop; I know some folks who would like to attend. PV

Thanks for the prompt reply PV, appreciated. As a result of this message I have been contacted by others who also want info on the shuffle tracking workshop. So, here's a thumbnail. I cancelled the course after I had received a bunch of e-mails so tha I would not get a lot of casino management interest in the course. ( I got some who tried to slip in anyway). I whittled it down to 7 players I was comfortable with. And then three alternates were checked out. I can not teach more than one table full at a time effectively which is why the limit. For business reasons etc. I have had dropouts who can't make the scheduled dates September 11 to 15 with arrival on Sunday. So I have the maximum seven but no alternates left. I have to choose carefully because I want to protect the confidentiality of the participants and myself of course. The workshop is $625 which includes accommodation at my cottage which is where the workshop will be held for privacy. It doesn't hurt that I have two sons who were full time dealers to call on there. I am using a case study combined with lecture approach where you will analyze, map and play various shuffles. When you finish you will be a tracker who can do it not talk about it. As far as I am concerned individuals who have been screened by Rick and/or Rob are welcome to let me know if they want to be alternates in case I have a cancellation which is probable given that the workshop is still 3 months away. Send me an e- mail if you want to register and I will send you the first 2 e-mails that I sent out with a course outline and more detail. By the way my cottage is 30 minutes out of Ottawa Canada which is about 3 hours north of Syracuse NY.
