ITV's coverage of the European Championships 2000: Three former England managers, Glenn Hoddle, Terry Venables and Bobby Robson, will vie for airtime with young pups Ruud Gullit - whose sentences can once again be finished off by Des Lynam - and John Gregory.

Imagin England are playing Germany and Shearer is playing a blinder. He's is terrorising the german defence like he did against Lebouf in the Cup semi. Cool as a cucumber turns to Ruud Gullit and comments on Shearer's god-like performance. Bobby sits there like the cat that got the cream waiting for the question to be punted his way.

Robson, "Well as we ALL know Shearer is an amazing captain, player and goalscorer. He had a rough time of things at the start of the season, but we won't go into that, will we Roy (Ruud)?"

Might have to watch ITV this year, will ITV give the Toon the satisfaction of seeing Robson and Gullit together!?
