LL revealed her true, psychotic, schizophrenic, dangerous, amoral self in her pornographic takeover of Bok's chatroom last summer. It was an interesting time on the TB2000 forum. Only two types of posters - those who had seen her in action at Bok's and were disgustd beyond belief, and those who hadn't yet and were trying to give her the benefit of the doubt. Until, of course, they saw for themselves. For all Anita's gracious comments about the chatroom, it was LL who intentionally took it down, along with at least two forums.

It's hard for the newer participants on these forums to appreciate just how deranged (and dangerous) she really is. But she does leave clues, like telling the people she is ripping up and spreading slanderous gossip about and openly investigating that she would never "harm" them. How come she keeps saying that?

Some of the most fun I had in Boks was when LadyLogic was in there.

The night when we were ALL Old Git (and one "Older Git")comes to mind...we all had "sweeties" and waterbeds! I haven't laughed that hard since. Scrolling insanity led to some creative fun! (Unk was king!)

Oh My God, remember when (was it Decker or Flint?) was left there alone with Laura after the rest of us jumped to the Safe Haven..and he was begging us for the password..heh, and we were debating letting him in..LOL. And since he was stuck there, he was trying to reason with her..being all compassionate and understanding,..and she kept telling him to go away..LOL. I almost miss that...those were some fun nights!

Yeah, I had some GREAT times in the chatroom! I learned a lot of interesting things in there, that I probably never would have learned anywhere else. It was there that I first found out that I learned how to understand computers rather than just use them. It was there that my interest in understanding the internet started. I learned a LOT in that chatroom, and my curiosity still has me learning this stuff.

Besides, I really do have a soft spot for most of the people from back then. I'll never forget the night I apologized to you guys for spamming and told you I had written a letter of apology to Bok. Do you still remember? I couldn't decide if I should e-mail it to him or post it publically and you said post it and don't look back. As it turned out, I just e-mailed it to him because it was deleted right away, and I've slept better knowing I've done my best.

Yeah, we had some fun, kritter. But, obviously, SOMEONE is still ticked off.

You probably sent away from some correspondence course in the back of a magazine and for $150 bucks anybody can call themselves a PI. If you read your manual, you should know that the laws are very strict for PI's about using the term to intimidate people. Actually, I had a friend once who did weird stuff like this.

She was very intelligent and had a lot of creative talent. But after a while, I started thinking something was wrong. She had a few drinks one night and spilled the beans to me that she was making fake screen names and talking to herself in chat rooms. She said she did this so that she would look appealing to the men without seeming too overt. She was trying to turn on somebody and wanted it to appear as if "men REALLY wanted her badly". She also wanted to appear popular so she would make up other screen names and talk to herself too. And then she wanted it to appear as if women were jealous of her, so she played that role too.

Anyway, she would laugh herself silly over this. Her goal was to stir up trouble in order to draw attention to herself. She came out of a 12 yr. marriage where she had been abused and her self image was low. I felt sorry for her and stayed her friend until one day my boyfriend came to me and told me how she had been writing emails to him and how she wanted to sleep with him. Then I found out that she did this to another one of our friends. And on and on it went.

I kept finding out more and more after I told her to hit the road. I felt betrayed. But then as time went on, I found out how REALLY nuts she was. Last I heard she was on disability for a psychiatric problem.

Hey, whoa, hold up, wait a minute. Sometimes I lurk, because once this board was the primo information source on the net. LL erupted onto the event horizon, tore the board apart, restructured it, directed it and in true dominatrix style, preoccupies it. She's an obsession, a force of nature to the posters. To tell you the truth, I think she's annoying but powerful. Sort of like the flea and the plague in medieval Europe. I often wonder is she/it is not an elegant construct. And that is meant to be the utlimate tribute to a complex and adept psyche.

If I had not personally experienced the Old Board, I wouldn't give her a second thought except to admire her for her balls (and that's saying plenty). The LL persona is extremely likable to both sexes: naughty, rebellious, disruptive and highly intelligent.A Little Annie Fannie of the Internet. In and of itself that persona is not deadly. Like the flea, it makes one itch and scratch the most indelicate places. And to the adolescent, indelicate behavior has great value: much like Elizabethan scatalogical humor. If the antics of LL had not disrupted an international forum of great value, I would probably not sustain any interest in that persona. And I use the word "persona" advisedly. LL intervenes in a form most likely to attract attention to itself at the point of intervention and DISTRACTS attention from pertinent issues at the point of intervention-it morphs as required. This attribute is my area of interest.

We are engaging in construction of a classic example. We discuss LL while issues concerning Los Alamos, decaying space equipment, geomagnetic disturbances ,massive security problems in government and infrastructure malfunction are before us. This would not have happened on the old board. For any one entity to wield such influence is a matter requiring some thought and analysis. I "lurk", as do my cohort. I am amused to see the effect of LL on the Board. Again, she/it calls the tune and the posters dance. Whether "nutz" or sane, LL has been given control and willingly done by those who dance to the tune she pipes.

So the issue of sanity remains open-is it LL who deviates? Or do those of us who feed into this attention getting mode fall into the class of incompetence?

Yes, I am a woman. I used the pseudonymn "Charlie" because men carry more weight in the world, and I did not want to enter the old forum and be dismissed-that is fact, not a feminist statement. As a woman I can identify with some aspects of LL=women learn early to manipulate, diplomacy is a gift granted to the weak- but other LL behaviors are not congruent with contemporary femininity. Please keep in mind, I am a , not a female child, and I have an experience base (or data base) from which I analyse. LL of the Powdered Bum is not a consistent construct.It is effective, however, in maintaining fragmentation of the old board members, and diverting the attention of current participants into no-productive discourse.

Charlie, your take on LL is interesting. But I don't agree, especially with this quote above. In my view, those who pay attention the most to LL are those who contribute the least in the way of intellectual discourse and current events. These people didn't contribute any more quality posts prior to LL's arrival, and reacted to attention-seeking troll posts much the same way as they do now.

There's also the fact that LL is a facinating case study in personality disorder (borderline personality would be my guess) for the more intellectually inclined.

Not strictly a personality disorder - drugs and/or alcohol are apparently also involved. The amazing thing about the real-time chats last fall was that she would assume a personality for a while, disappear for a while, and comeback in a completely different mode. First, quite companionable, later extremely abusive or obscene, later still extremely apologetic, repeating these outbursts throughout the evening. These things aren't apparent in a discussion forum.
