greenspun.com : LUSENET : The Christian Church : One Thread

Just wanted to see how many of you out there have ever attended the family camp meeting in Hillsboro, Ohio. If you have not I will like to encourage you to get more information and attend this year. You will hear some good Bible Preaching and Great Gospel Singing. For dates you can look on the back of the Restoration Herald Magazine.

Herald Schmerald! This is the 2000s! Where is their web page?

Seriously, I LOVE the mag, but usually read others copies...

Could you post the dates here for us...??? I would like to go, and think it is in August...

Also, if you would, post the others... Winchester, Grundy, etc....

I would like to hear from some of you who have been to more than one of them...

Some have said that the "Kiamichi" meetings were THE BEST (in their day) but now, alas, have been watered down much like the NACC...

And the only True Israel Fellowship found these days is Hillsboro Family Camp and Danny's Hog Hunt...

I will now remove my tongue from my cheek to get yall's thoughts on some of these events.... (if ya been to em)

The Hillsboro Family Camp is AWESOME! It is the week following the Cumberland Family Camp Meeting at Faith Christian Assembly, just North of London, KY. This year the theme is "Focusing On The Family". Kerry Allen, George Faull and Dave Fagan will be preaching. A great warm-up for Hillsboro. Also, the Northmen is a fantastic week, but only for men and boys. The ladies have their own meeting at the Kalkaska Church of Christ. Hope to see you at one or more of these great preaching camp meetings.

Hello. I sent you an e-mail a while back about this site. It has not been updated for 2001 dates, etc. I don't know who is supposed to do that, but its a shame someone doesn't. Sincerely, your friend Mr. Ludwick of Hillsboro, Ohio. Send me an e-mail and I will promise to look at it for at least three(3) seconds before deleting. Aren't computors great!!

July 29 through Aug 2, 2001.

I, for one, will be there. I never miss if I even have a slight chance of going. I rough it in a hotel room.
