I'm trying to lose myself in my work

I'm catching up on some business calls

hey dickhead... I want my soul back. You've done nothing for me, so cough it up....

is that performance art Chris? is that really you? I hope not. I like your band photos but tell us if you are Satan, why would you waste your time at singer-songwriter venues? They'll never amount to famous or really anything past smelly... even with your help.... and a mess of diesel-ly rags to scrub off the patchouilly...

jeff, I like that one, offkilter and all... is that the gonzo-wide for the m7?

Trib, last time we assessed your soul it wasn't worth the price of acquisition... you must have sold it to one of our competitors...

But seriously that's the brilliant singer-poet Jim Infantino at one of his annual Halloween night gigs. I get asked why i do singer songwriters a lot, (and considerably more nicely i might add) all I can say is it's musicology in real time- you have to mine for the gold- how many duds did Alan Lomax have to listen to before he found Leadbelly? You think I'm misguided because i'm photographing musicans who won't be famous? Wow....

Here's me-

By the way, glad you like the other stuff-

who do you gotta gang-rape to get a title like "singer-poet"? I've never been able to shirk the "marxist asshole" moniker....

art? feh!

performance art: ipecac syrup for the soul.

honestly though it's truly amazing that your photos are so "straight" despite your incredibly creative settings, surroundings, acquaintances and subjects.... great job!

This lively enough, Jeff?

-- Chris Yeager (cyeager@ix.netcom.com), May 18, 2000.
