Within the past few years the Govt closed many military bases for economic reasons they said, yea, right ! What better place for those who will need to be relocated, the ones who are passive and have a strong belief in the Govt, as being right all the time... Wake Up Call ! Wasn't there a place in Washington State that was making train cars... like 750,000 train cars??? It's interesting how Uncle Bill has kept the Martial Law in effect! With the bombing of the places in Afganistan and Sudan, kinda makes you wonder if all he needs now is time before Y2K the early stages makes things go bad here in States before he relinkquishes his powers to F.E.M.A. Then we all can see his mode of maddness... I also wonder if Uncle Bill and George will be happy in Mt Weather ???? during the y2k situation or back at Mena Airport for a flight back to Cenral America ???? I wonder ???

Concentration Camps I'm sorry to say this, and so what. I might be put in the "black helicopter crowd" after this posting. I have actually seen two of these "facilities" or camps as it were. One is in south Georgia, not far from the Okeefonokee Swamp. The other is in North Florida. I will not go into detail except to say that the typical US Govt. "Shoot on Sight" signs were posted everywhere. The difference in these places vs. normal military bases was that there were towers in several places. Along with razor wire for hundreds of yards. I have only one thing to say; remember 1935. And be prepared.

Here we have another example of memetic tendencies - mistrust of government and authority (with the noted exception of the authority of the administrators at the Hysterium - which were trusted implicitly, and still are, though they horrendously misled their followers...).

Notable in the responses is a post-er who refers to himself as John Galt. For those unaware, John Galt is the central character in the Ayn Rand's novel Atlas Shrugged. The novel is credal for objectivists, who espouse individualism in a pure form. Though not an objectivist, I know a few - and respect their beliefs. None of them were or are doomers. Galt falls into the category filled with most other doomers, wherein all other beliefs - however strongly held prior to the introduction of the meme - are subjected to the meme for approval. If they (the other beliefs) can be coerced into the meme's belief structure, they are retained; else they are dismissed and replaced by "proper beliefs."

Sad, really. And doomers referred to these departures from critical thinking as "growth." Truly sad.

It's important not to forget how many people on the old forum actually beleived the ol' "concentration camps for GI's" was an inevitable thing. These were the same folks that were constantly spotting UN troops on the Interstate and had long discussions about "blue highway signs".
