I already made a VCD with CD-R disc and it worked fine. Now, I want to make a VCD from a CD-RW disc just for the test. I want the CD-RW disc can be played fine as from CD-R. After that, I want to erase the VCD content and use the CD-RW disc for burning another VCD. Is it possible?

The reason what I'm doing is for the purpose of testing several video image files (.cif files) to VCD format. I'm trying to look for an CD-ROM Emulator that could expand cif file(EZCD image file) into folders just like VCD content. I try to use CeQuadrat CD-ROM emulator but it rejects cif file. It only accepts c2d and raw file as an image. So I think I must use a CD-RW disc to simulate the emulation process. Anybody knows such program like CeQuadrat Emulator, but accepts cif files to be expanded into VCD folders in virtual drive?

Answers

I use Adaptec EZ CD Creator to do this. If you have used the CD-RW as a DirectCD, then you need to erase all data usind CD-RW Eraser. Then burn the CD as you would a CD-R, clicking Yes when prompted that this is CD-RW disk. If you want to use it later as CD-RW, then you have to erase again using CD-RW Eraser.

Your VCD player may not support CD-RW media directly, however - some do.

I just bought a DVD player which has VCD CD/CD-R/CD-RW playback features. Itīs a PIONEER model DV-344 (new one), and Iīve paid aprox. US$200,00 (December 2001)

well if you have Nero you can do all that stuff in very easy steps.. i dont know where you can find it but email me if you want me to burn you it cause i got it, with the serial code too.
