Gav For The Chop?

Gav , from reading your posts on "The Sex Thread" and elsewhere recently, I keep wondering why you ever developed your particular superstition. I mean, according to the accounts you seem to have practised this superstition witn some enthusiasm for many years now - many years during which, I need hardly remind you, we've won nowt.

Does the superstition not work, or (perish the thought) is it working in reverse?

One of only 3 conclusions must be drawn :-

1 - The superstition doesn't work. 2 - You're lying about your performance. 3 - The superstition works in reverse and you'll have to have it cut off for next season. (Screach can do the job before he hoys them bliddy shears away).

I can see where you've drawn your conclusions from....but in my defence I figure that the superstition only started working once I'd developed the idea of it being a superstition (the 1st year we finished 2nd!!)....if I'm going to be honest (and I always am!) then the last 3 seasons really have been indicative of my falling success rate :((

If you REALLY want proof (and I'm loath to attempt this!! god knows I am!) then I can always attempt to abstain next year (or re-visit ex's cos that doesn't count!).....but "IF" I'm correct in my assumptions it means another disasterous year for us :((

I'd much rather put it to the test by really pulling out all the stops next year and seeing if I can manage that final barrier and force us to win the championship before I hang up my boots in favour of a younger man.....

I'll put it to a vote......
