I purchased a used 165mm 2.8 pentax lense for my 6x7. The lense shade slides back and forth on the lense and does not want to stay in anyone position when I tilt the camera up or down. Can this be fixed?

Have you tried putting and elastic band (a wide one) behind the shade as you extend it? It know it's a bit cheesey but it will probably hold it in place.
