Don't write, don't call, I don't want you, period.

greenspun.com : LUSENET : TB2K spinoff uncensored : One Thread

A lot of what the McKees posted just doesn't seem to add up in retrospect (IMO). Especially if that business about her ("Laura McKee") having a phone number in AZ with his name is accurate.

According to what "they" posted back then, they are/were located in central IL. He did at one point make reference to a "possible new job" in Jan 99. But I don't recall seeing anything about any move.

As to his health, he said he wondered about "defibulators" failing at the 98/99 rollover, and mentioned that he had a heart condition. No mention of cancer. This was on Jan 1, 1999, in the same post where he mentioned central IL.

On Jan 28, 1999, he said: "i have about 1 yr left till my cancer will kill me and i want my family ready for anything."

On Feb 2, she posted that he had died.

That's a very strange set of circumstances and timing.

I don't rule out him having suddenly found out he was ill, nor do I doubt that he could have been told he had about a year to live. I do think, however, that in the absence of supporting evidence to the contrary, it's a stretch to believe that the doctors were that far off in their estimates. I don't think it's impossible. A tumor could, for instance, grown into a major artery, weakened it, and then it suddenly burst. Maybe his "heart condition" was in fact due to a tumor. I do, however, think that the combination of a one year estimate and death occurring five days later is statistically unlikely. But, I think it's all moot, as you'll see as you read on.

If I had to speculate -- and if for argument's sake, had to rule out his death by cancer or other disease -- I can come up with some possible scenarios. No idea as to how probable any of them are, though, with one exception.

Possible scenarios:

He "bugged out" and she "covered him" via that post.

He left/divorced her, or she left/divorced him.

    She killed him.

    He killed himself.

He joined the Witness Protection Program. :-)

He never existed. She "killed off" an imaginary husband, possibly
to allow her to go after some "new meat".

It seemed to me that her mental state seemed to deteriorate as time went by. That could possibly be attributed to the death of her husband (presuming he died, which itself presumes he existed in the first place). But, it's not so much the cause that's at question so much as the degree insofar as this analysis is concerned.

Along similar lines, she demonstrates a disturbing measure of disingenuity when she says on Apr 28, 1999:

    -----------------------------------------------------------------------
The V chip is integrated into the tuner circuit of a tv
enabling the user to lock out whatever TV channels the
user deems un-watchable/i.e. dad says no MTV he locks it out it is password
    protected.

I guess i did listen to bill when he talked shop :-)
    -----------------------------------------------------------------------

Yet, seven months later, she posts on another newsgroup:

    -----------------------------------------------------------------------
i am in serious need of zenith control panels.

    part # F-46915.

i have a service contract with a local state penn.

all t.v's are zenith and the inmates break the buttons off all the time
i know that zenith has dis-continued this
part and i have been able to repair the existing pads with old buttons
    from other broken ones.

i have run out of these.

does anybody have an aftermarket source?
    or any used control panels?

this contract is about the only thing keeping me in buisness.

    thank you for any help.

i don't get online that often so please fax me at:618-664-2320.

    again the part # F-46915.(zenith).

i will even take broken units.
    -----------------------------------------------------------------------

Gee, I guess she really did "listen to bill when he talked shop"! :-)

Obviously, she was feigning naivety in her January CSY2K post. But why?

One other thing struck me, and this was something that seemed very "LL-like". She went off on Paul Milne for not sending condolences. This was on Feb 8. I remember reading it at the time, and I remember thinking it was really odd at the time too. She said she "was greatly disturbed" that -- get this -- Milne and Sherman -- "the 2 people that bill admired the most" -- did not send any condolences. Huh? "the 2 people that bill admired the most"?? It's almost as if she's trying to stir up a fight.

And then there's this gem from March 10, 1999:

    -----------------------------------------------------------------------
    joesicarr,

do us all a favor and shut your raging piehole..
you are either one stupid bitch or a gay man.

i am not sure which applies but i notice that bks
does not even reply to your rant's or superhero fanfare.

mr.sherman and mr.milne have opposing opinions on the
effect of y2k, try to look at both sides of this particular story and see
    the logic on both ends.

but to pick one as a demigod is as wrong as you can get
this is one time that time will tell who is right and
i am watching with particular interest for the outcome.
    -----------------------------------------------------------------------

If I showed that to anyone familiar with LL, and said, "Look what she's up to now", do you think anyone would say, "Hmm, that doesn't sound like her"? :-)

Now, the "closer":

There are three things I noticed that applied uniformly to all posts written by "Bill" and "Laura".

Both of them had the habit of starting each sentence with a lower case letter, and doing likewise with the personal pronoun "I".

And, both of them exhibited the strange quirk of consistently referring to people in the form of "mr.milne", "mr.may", "mr.sherman", etc. I don't think I've ever seen that idiosyncrasy before, so I find it very strange that the both of them would write that way -- especially when combined with the lower case thing.

The third thing? They both spell "business" as "buisness".

Would you be able to tell whether any particular post was written by "Bill" or "Laura" if the From header was stripped off, simply by reading the text, and looking at the writing style?  I don't think I could. :-)

My conclusion? I think that there never was a "Bill McKee". If he did exist, he certainly wasn't the one doing the posting. ANY of the posting. Unless, of course, it was Laura McKee that was imaginary... :-)

The whole thing is very strange.

Here are the relevant UseNet posts, including the Message-ID field, in case you want to verify their accuracy:

hello everyone,
i am trying to compile a complete list of supplies
food and fuel to carry my family for at least 6 mos
of y2k problems.
i live in a double wide mobile home (no jokes please)
it's all i can afford. i have a family of 4 and will
potentially have at least 4 more (guest) that did
not listen to me in the early days of my trying to
get them to listen to reason and prepare.

i have been reading about y2k since last year and
have bought $20.00 worth of staples a week and think
i have been doing a good job of getting ready.

i have moved to a small town pop 11,000 full
of good people but not ready to face the y2k problem
the good thing about where i moved to is that there
are alot of ahmish folk that basicly like to barter
for goods. (just the way i like it)

anyhow i am stumped on some areas such as sewage treatment and water storage
more so sewage problems
water storage seems more like a space problem than anything else.

as far as a power source generators seem imo a problem
all in themselves i.e. drawing unwanted attention to
my house.

would a woodstove be feasable in a mobile home ?

any input welcomed with open arms

let's all pull through this together

sincerely,william j mckee

it has been my experience that people do not want to
hear about y2k but i have been preparing in spite of
them for them.
in previous post i explained how i have purchased
$20.00 a week worth of supplies since last year one
thing i have really stockpiled on were light sources
i currently have 10 cases of candles strictly to hand
out to neighbors that i know will freak when power
goes out.

i have also been an avid shopper at goodwill and
salvation army stores and have amassed about 300 extra
blankets that i keep in storage for the masses.

clothing is another important issue i have saved bags
upon bags of clothing both for warm and cold climates
for my unprepared neighbors.

but i draw the line with food and heat they will not
listen to me when i talk to them about preparing so
on that front they are on thier own.

that's my good neighbor policy in a nutshell

p.s.thank's to everyone that gave me tips on
water/sewage/woodstove advise. happy hollidays to you
all lets make this christmas a big one our kids may
not have another one like it for a long time to come

paul,
i have known a few (turnkeys)catch phrase for silo
workers.in my time i have learned alot about the
defense grid, if one key (out of 2 is turned on the
computer takes over-after 90 seconds)and projects a
scenario for launch data i.e. target aquired and will
launch and detonate above aquired target.
if no keys turned launch will be aborted pending
presidents last call (i.e. dragon's tail)
or launch (i.e. dragon's fire) the code is changed
daily to provide security but you all get the jist

russia we have to worry about we know nothing about
thier security with the nukes.
as far as i know they do not work on a defcon system
they work on a response and retaliate system.first
strike is not an option =stalemate ?

the main worry with both nations is the black mark of
terrorist where and when will they strike ?

it is my guess imho times square new years eve 2000

i have pondered this questian for a long time.
i am not jewish but i wonder if your people could
find another homeland that would not (step on other
toes) and get the heck out of a problem that might
exterminate your people for good.this is not a knock
on your people it just seems to me that the jewish
people have a strong disadvantage where they are now.
i know to expect many flames from this post but i
have the best of intentions.

maybe the promised land has not yet been reached
australia may be an option or unpopulated regions
of canada or perhaps south america.

a race of people with your history should be ready to
adapt to new surroundings and prosper as proven in the
last decade.

but i say to you if you stay in the gaza area you are
welcoming starvation/strife/bio warfare/possible nuke
attacks/america can only do so much to protect you.

must your people endure more hardship to insure their
place in heaven?
i don't think so

even if all the bugs are fixed public panic will cause

I am so very sorry to learn of your loss.

Just days ago your husband wrote:
"i have about 1 yr left till my cancer will kill me

He also wrote in another recent posting:
"in no way am i IT or do i profess to be, i just want the best for

In another earlier post, he wrote:
"i have been trying to get a grip on y2k in serious
mode for 4 months now because my wife was pregnant
with our hopefull 2nd child.that was stripped away
from us today for the second time.i am not a member of the IT i

info side of things i mostly lurked in the group
and asked questains whenever possible.
i will come back because my son needs me to make his
life better and i will strive to do so.but i need some time to myself for

You have had so much sadness in your home recently.

Given his own words, this news of your husband's death seems most premature.
It is also clear from his words how much he loved both of you.

I shall keep both you and your son in my prayers.

dear whitney,
an interesting questian you pose here.

bill spent 6 yrs in the army his primary mos was 12
bravo (combat engineer) airborne qualified (25 jumps)
3 trips to survival school in south america.

as far as a camping (trip) is concerned if that were
to be a factor there are 3 fully stocked backpacks
in the basement with military mre's,heaters and ration
bars to hold 3 people for at least 2-weeks. he called
them bug out packs.

along with alice packs with 2-2qt bladder canteens per
person,blowgun,pistol crossbow,breakdown compound bow,
1-22cal-410 over under,2-glock 9mm w/6 clips. i am
reading this from the list on the wall i hope it makes
sense.

these were prepared long in advance but bill really
didn't see the need to (bug out)we live in a small town
45 miles from st.louis but he wanted to cover all
scenarios.

we have a well, and one heck of a pantry, no generator
but he made 3 solar ovens and i have about 125 lbs of
dehydrated meats deer,pork,beef.

well what do you think ?

enabling the user to lock out whatever TV channels the
user deems un-watchable/i.e. dad says no MTV he locks it out it is password
protected.

I guess i did listen to bill when he talked shop :-)

paul,
i have a problem with the way you conducted yourself in
the harlan smith thread.

you were a very strong presense when my husband died you
gave condolences and offered help to me when needed.

bill was very (middle of the road) as far as y2k goes
and you flamed him when you saw fit and he took it in stride
but after he died you made valiant efforts to comfort me.

point is you had something nice to say about someone you
did not agree with.

is mr.harlen smith different ?

laura

Hello again,

Thank's to everyone for some excellent advise i have downloaded opera
and will install it later on.

You all have a special place in my heart.

There are so many good people here it is a shame that there has to be
so much fighting about who is right and wrong.

That is why i have not posted that often.

Best wishes,laura

hello all,

this has been bugging me for a few days.

iraq is blamed for the rise in gas prices but did we not just lift the
embargo on iraq ?.

how can an oil market that has been out of the loop for so long make a
difference on the market price ?.

laura

happy hollidays to everyone, polly or doomer (i hate the term doomer)
i prefer realist.

-- I am (not@your.lover), May 15, 2000.

HUH? WTF?

-- Qman (what@the.f$*k?), May 15, 2000.

You're not talking about Laura Lady Logic, are you? She wasn't a doomer in December '99, and she DOES start her sentences with a capital letter.

You must be ERRingman to be this wrong.

-- (Lurker3 @ TB.con), May 15, 2000.

I have a question: How can I do a search of forums like you did? I am not up on the subject matter of your post, I was just hoping you could tell me how to do it.

Thank you very much.

-- Maya (Maya@eck.ist), May 15, 2000.

My conclusion? I think that there never was a "Bill McKee". If he did exist, he certainly wasn't the one doing the posting. ANY of the posting. Unless, of course, it was Laura McKee that was imaginary... :-)

In fact, both people did exist. But not in the way you described it.

Both were married and lived in IL in 1999.

Bill did write the post in January about having 1 year to live. However, only a few days later, it was Laura who died, due to causes unknown, most likely exposure to radioactive material from a recent chemtrail spraying.

Thereafter, Bill, stricken with grief at his loss, continued to post as Laura to keep her spirit alive within him. His mental state did indeed deteriorate, what with him impersonating his dead wife and all, not to mention suffering the after-effects of the chemtrail spray. This, of course, is why "Laura" was so knowledgable about electronics in "her" postings as you pointed out above.

Indeed, he was greatly upset that neither Milne nor Sherman sent condolences for his dead wife AKA husband since it was well-known at that time that Laura had arranged the financing for several loans that sent 2 of Paul's children to college, as well as having been executor of Brad's will.

The phrase he used, "do us all a favor and shut your raging piehole..," was a reference to the bakery owned by Bill and Laura, for which Paul supplied the lard provided by his own pigs. Once you understand the story, the reference becomes obvious.

Bill always started his sentences with a lower case letter because he believed that the upper case letters were cursed. He used to refer to them as "the spawn of satan."

He also referred to everyone by their last name due to his incredible fear of intimacy. Seeing his wife killed by poisonous chemtrail spray only exacerbated this problem.

Bill chose to spell "business" as "buisness" for reasons as yet unknown. When anyone asked him about it, he'd say it was "none of their damn buisness."

I hope this helped clear things up.

I always thought LL has multiple personality disorder. This would explain many things. I am a Registered Nurse and have read about this disorder so this is my humble opinion here.

-- DebiJoy (LongTimeLurker@shy.com), May 15, 2000.

hmm@hmmm- THAT was the funniest thing I've read in months!

-- CD (costavike@hotmail.com), May 15, 2000.

I don't know-or did not know these people, but from reading what you posted, I do not believe they are the same person. The way they structered their sentences was different, the wording was different and the personalities are diffinatly different. It would not be unusual for a husband to post no caps and have the wife follow his lead, or visa versa.

-- Cherri (sams@brigadoon.com), May 15, 2000.

W H O C A R E S.........

For crying out loud, get over this type of second grade stuff.

-- Jim Cooke (JJCooke@yahoo.com), May 15, 2000.

Bravo!!! hmm@hmm.hmm, that was truly worthy of a shrubbery.

-- Bingo1 (howe9@shentel.net), May 15, 2000.

That certainly was interesting and important too! I have bookmarked it and will re-read it whenever I have insomnia. I am ge..tt..in.g d..r..ow..s.. zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

Not that it matters in the least... As a holdover from a previous profession, verifying the authenticity/authorship of documents such as these has become something of a hobby for me. Just for fun, I took a very quick initial look at these documents, and for the benefit of whoever started this thread, here's an important clue for ya...

Note the [unusual] incorrect usage of the apostrophe in the following examples...

Bill- so once again thank's for the great tips

Laura- Thank's to everyone for some

Bill- kudo's to you

Laura- does not even reply to your rant's or superhero

Bill- represent us democrats or republican's alike

Laura- i personally think 3 day's is a joke

Bill- this NG has been a great source of info in the past but with all NG'S,

(Hey, give me a break here guys... I'm bored.)

-- CD (costavike@hotmail.com), May 15, 2000.

Is this thread supposed to be about who LadyLogic really is? I thought her name was supposed to be Merkley and she owned a TV shop. What else have I missed?

-- Lurker2 (lurker2@lots.to.lurk.for), May 15, 2000.

Ok, "I am not@your.lover" and "CD" have provided some pretty good evidence that this Bill and Laura are one and the same.

I saw threads long ago that seemed to tie "LL" "LadyLogic" or "Laura" of the TB2000 threads to the Laura in the links above, but I really don't remember how strong the evidence was (I really didn't care for the subject at the time, so I didn't follow it).

So I have the question, what is the point of this thread, is this supposed to be LL? Just curious.

-- FactFinder (FactFinder@bzn.com), May 15, 2000.

CD,

Can you compare & contrast "Laura's" use of the apostrophe with "al- d's" use of the comma.

PS - Good job, you should get bored more often!

-- flora (***@__._), May 15, 2000.

Ok, Ok, I admit it. I killed my husband Bill. The Registered Nurse is right and I have MANY personalitie's; two of which are homicidal. My evil doomer personality, Ladylogic, buried his chopped up body out in the desert so that I could get enough money out of the insurance company to live through 2000. Of course I did! I KNEW it was going to be a 20+!!! I was prepared to do it, too! I had already purchased hacksaw's, and an electric tablesaw! Oh, oh, I also made use of that guillotine I was going to use for chicken's! Man, you guys are nobody's fool's. I can't pull the wool over some of your eyes....no Sireee, Bobeeee!

Since you're such good detective's, I guess you know what happened to Mr Polly too. For those of you who don't, let me tell you...

I tied him up and spanked him 'till I knocked the wind out of him. When I was sure he was out, I cut him down and placed him in an airtight freezer where his body still sits waiting my twisted whim's from each of my personality's.

Next?

~*~

-- (Ladylogic@...), May 15, 2000.

For your next trick will you trace isp's, oh pretty please? You are getting more and more deranged as time goes on. Did you really think we all didnt know it was you all along? Does the body stink yet?

-- see here (eye@spy.net), May 15, 2000.

Oh no,

It,s worse than I feared!

What have you done with the real Laura?

-- flora (***@__._), May 15, 2000.

Flora, shhhhhhhhhhh

or you might be 'next' ROFLMAO....

-- consumer (shh@aol.com), May 15, 2000.

I happen to think LL is schizophrenic. She phases in and out of consciousness. Have you taken your lithium today?

-- x (x@x.x), May 15, 2000.

Thanks, Flora. A comparison/contrast evaluation of Laura' vs al-d,? LOL. You may just be on to sumpin' there Flora.

-- CD (costavike@hotmail.com), May 15, 2000.

And just think of all the little personal tidbits some of you gave that bitch!

Remember she also impersonated other handles on the old forum. Who knows, she may have done more than those she admitted to....

After reading her baloney on the polly boards, I figured that she was having conversations with herself. Most of the time, anyway...

She can kiss my powdered butt!

-- LL is nutz! (nutz@nutz.nutz.nutz), May 16, 2000.

I did not post that message.

~*~

-- (Ladylogic@...), May 16, 2000.

LL:

If you did not post that, I would notify OTFR if I were you. I would not want anyone doing that to me.

-- consumer (shh@aol.com), May 16, 2000.

Did you email OTFR yet?

-- consumer (shh@aol.com), May 16, 2000.

This thread shows someo f the finest fictive writing i have seen in a LONG time. SOMEBODY keep it going. Please??

Joss jest readin while I strip down the number 3 thruster...

-- Joss Metadi (warhammer@Pride.of.Mandeyne), May 16, 2000.

I'll help ya out here Joss...

In chapter 1 we were introduced to the mysterious Bill & Laura.

Chapter 2 disclosed the possibility of a deep dark secret(s).

Chapter 3 contained incriminating evidence that the myriad posts authored by both Bill and Laura were in reality, written by only ONE person!

Chapter4 provided comic relief in the form of a proposed solution to this mystery submitted by our own "hmm@hmmm".

Chapter 5. I submit evidence obtained from a forensic document examination.

Chapter 6. While stripping down the number 3 thruster, "Joss" implores somebody, anybody, to continue this fascinating thread, and, being once again bored, I volunteer...

Note the [very unusual] single space which is inappropriately inserted between the end of the sentence and the question mark in the following samples:

Laura- well what do you think ?

Bill- will it get this bad ?

Laura- any y2k effects ?

Bill- in a mobile home ?

Laura- stature of y2k= non-event ?

Bill- anyone have any stats ?

Laura- is mr.harlen smith different ?

Bill- absorbers in the buckets ?

-- CD (costavike@hotmail.com), May 16, 2000.

Yea right Ladylogic. Neither did OJ Simpson
