WHAT wedding? Could you provide a court case for the transcripts, al? Are you suggesting that this happened to your wife BEFORE you were married? Since the bomb-threat was a year or so AFTER Marianne had the problems with Household, who is the second party in the OUR home reference in 1991?

Is it just me, or does this get more confusing as we go along? I have no prejudice for you, al, but I haven't been able to find ONE reference to this case on the internet. We need YOUR help in providing a few more details if you want folks to see things as you see them.

HI JIM COOKE,sorry for not getting back to your questions,the trial was in the 8th district court,downtown el-paso.i,ll have to dig out the case #,i,l get back to this,we are in the process of settling in, i have many faults,but i,m not a liar.the court records are PUBLIC- INFO. JUDGE MOODY heard our case,then we went 8th court of appeals,then to texas supreme -court.in austin tx.no we didn,t get 11 million-politics being what they are & all.it was amiracle that we got what we got.but that was never the issue.it wasn,t about money,it was about our civil,state &FEDERAL RIGHTS being violated. jealous people envy ,[not refering to you]they didn,t walk in our shoes,but people are people,so let them think & slander,GOD knows the TRUTH & his opinion IS WHAT COUNTS.

This case has more twists and turns than the OJ trial. Perhaps some of you can help me out here. Al says that a Judge Moody (Judy) heard his case and then it went to the 8th Circuit Court of Appeals and then to the Texas Supreme Court. Im assuming that he received his award at the Supreme Court level. If so, it would appear that the original jury ruled against him, as did the 8th. He and his wife could not even pay down a $2000 credit card debt, where did the attorney fees come from? Sounds to me like this Noel Gage had a lot to gain/lose on this case. Al, add me to the list of inquiring minds that would love to read the trial transcript.

I stand corrected in my erroneous assumptions regarding the progression of the Driscols lawsuit. At the first trial, the jury awarded them the original $11M judgement. The finance company then took it to the Texas 8th Court of Appeals where the judgement was modified (do not have details). This opinion was rendered in December of 1998 and was then taken on to the Texas Supreme Court. I have no details from this point on and cannot justify putting any more research into this.

The great thing about this forum is that folks can't just log in and state stuff without backup. Had I stated something about my resume, somebody would SURELY ask to see it before believing it. One might call it the skeptics forum in that regard.

As it stands, Al has stated that he and his wife won in a landmark Supreme Court decision. Unfortunately, Al is unwilling/unable SO FAR to provide more information so folks can verify this, and several of us have already reviewed Supreme Court decisions for several years and found NOTHING.

Is it important that we know? No. However, if Al continues to bring it up, he needs to back up his statements.
