Help with Sony SC70 print quality

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Imaging Resource Discussion : One Thread

I recently bought a Sony SC70, and I am very happy with the quality on screen. However, when I print out the photos with my Epson Photo 750, the results are not nearly as good as from my friend's Kodak C280. The printouts from the Kodak, without ANY image editing, look slightly better from my printer, with more natural colour, less edge pixel effect and even appear to be of better resolution, which seems odd, given the Sony is 3.3M and the Kodak only 2 million pixels!

Is there something i can do in Photoshop or in the Epson printer controls to improve this?

Thanks!

Really? I borrowed a DSC70 and got some nice results- Color is another thing- The Kodak 280 will give you much better flesh tones and reds, especially in shade. The Sony is WAY sharper and cleaner, so maybe you should messa round with your printer settings.
