Don't you ever read the responses to other messages you've posted? Here's what I posted on the last Taiwan missle thread in response to the Defence and Foreign Affairs story:

"Regarding the NewsMax article quoting the Defence and Foreign Affairs article, where do you suppose Defence and Foreign Affairs got their information? Why, according to their website, from the South China Morning Post, the same place that put out the original report. That's the problem with the Net. First we have the SCMP, which is then quoted by Defence and Foreign Affairs, which is then quoted by NewsMax as if the report came from Defence and Foreign Affairs. This is exactly how one unconfirmed report becomes a fact in people's minds."

This is now a circular story with everyone quoting one another but the original still came from SCMP with no further verification from anyone.

Just how do you suppose a "prestigious military publication Defence and Foreign Affairs journal" becomes recognized as a prestigious military publication? Do you think this happens by staking your reputation on rumor, hearsay and questionable news sources?

I get grumpy when you post an article that I already said got their info from the SCMP. If you already read this, why would you post this as if it's some sort of new information that should now cause me to change my view?

The Defence and Foreign Affairs Journal simply repeated the report published in the SCMP. It never said that the allegations were true. Simply because the DAFAJ is a "prestigious military publication" doesn't make the report any more or less true.

I'm now going off for my nap.
