Shame the Barton didn't make the squad ahead of the two ugly sisters. He's played a far lot better than either of them this season.

I hope munchkin plays for England. I really do. Then everyone can see how sh*t he is, I can see him missing a hat full and then never even mentioned in the press with regards to the England squad
By the way, if he was any good, why has no one ever tried to buy him from Sunderland? Do I hear Clive Allen mentioned....

The odd thing is that the mackems(ptuh!) regard the fact that all his goals were scored in the league as a sign of his greatness. Eh? I would have thought failure to score in one-off, 'it all hinges on today' encounters against the likes of Portsmouth was a sure sign of someone not up to the task. I thought he was frozen and panicky in his England appearances so far, even at SoS where he should have been ok: not sure we have enough time to waste conditioning him if Owen or Fowler are fit.

Cole lost it for me in that friendly against France where Al won the ball for him 3 times and he screwed it up. I think the chips are blocking his peripheral vision.

David James? Do we need 4 goalkeepers, and if so should he even then be included?

Gibbo,

The squad will be trimmed for the Euro's, down to about 22. I would expect to see one goalkeeper excluded at that point, along with a striker and Nick Barmby!!

Out of the strikers a lot will depend on the three friendlies but on current form one of the Scouse boys is looking favourite for the chop.

Howay LR man. Even you aren't stupid enough to think that the Neville's have had a good season. The reason Newton Heath have done so well is that you have one great c/b, a very strong m/f and a useful set of strikers. Denis is a solid f/b but the Neville's have been the week point in your back four. Just as well you can score goals - eh?

Screach

>>>>The reason Newton Heath have done so well is that you have one great c/b, a very strong m/f and a useful set of strikers

That should be reasonS shouldn't it? OK I know you weren't expecting the Spanish Inquisition but the 3 reasons why Newton Heath have done so well is that they have one great c/b, a very strong m/f, a useful set of strikers and enormous refereeing bias - Four - the FOUR reasons are that they have one great c/b, a very strong m/f, a useful set of strikers, enormous refereeing bias and bottled out of the FA Cup - FIVE reasons. Amongst the reasons Heath have done so well are ....

Not to mention a fixture list tailored to suit and an almost fanatical dedication to the Pope ...
