Now I think he's overrated, but on a free I'd take him to ressurect the old Shearer partnership. I've not been round these parts much of late, so sorry if this has already been debated to death...

Not sure about the Swede. He's certainly a decent player, but I'm not sure he's real top class.
We certainly need a left-sided midfielder, and NA may be the best available. However, I still have a feeling BR would like to get Luis Enrique from Barcelona if big dosh can be made available. He's a very good player, who is also versatile in that he can play wide left, at WB, or at a push, even up front as a partner for AS.
BR is also been reported to be tracking Trevor Sinclair at WHU. I always thought Sinclair played wide left for QPR, but he seems to play exclusively on the right for WHU. I'm not sure Bobby is likely to be interested in a right sided m/f player at this juncture - unless Solano really is on his bike.
While I didn't think so at the time, Sheri Teddingham would have been an excellent signing for us when he went from Spurs to manure given his like for playing with AS and their obvious 'understanding'. We wiffed on Sheri and got JDT, 'h and Pamela A. instead! However, three years on he'll be looking for a multi-year contract, and in truth is probably past his sell-by date. We could do a lot worse though.

I still think De Bilde would be a good player in a decent side. I'd take a chance on him at the right price, say #3mm.
