In "The Rraven" what does the bird mean by "Nevermore"?

In mine opinion: The bird means that LENORE will return NEVERMORE He understands this looking at the Cussion that her head will press AH...(!!!) Nevermore. He really really didn't want to hear that. But even Anger won't help him

Nevermore means that the lyrical I will never see Lenore again. This word is a sign for his desparate state of mind
