Here in Geordieland, God's chosen people have enjoyed a beautiful sunny morning and a beautiful grey afternoon. Sometimes we get beautiful downpours, sometimes we get beautiful blizzards. Whatever the weather it is always beautiful here and undoubtedly the finest place on Earth in my own unbiased opinion.

Fine....sunny.....dry and warm this morning.......just the kind of day for the Makems to get a damn good slapping in the sun in the great Metropolis.

Hope the wetaher is holding in the Golden City for a great result against the Arse........4-2......Shearer hat-trick, just for Jay on her birthday.

We had ducks chasing the dog round the garden......I got home from work and the rain was stotting down that much I had to sit in the car for fifteen minutes till it eased off a bit.....it was such a lovely morning when I went out yesterday at 5.45am that I didn't bother taking a coat.......will i EVER bliddy learn. ;0)

The sun has even reached as far north as Blyth. Contemplating wearing my shorts for today's game. Do you think I'll get a game??

That'll startle the penguins.

Softie,

Bringing 4 inches of rain, in 4/6 wet days, to ensure that Washington's water supply proves adequate to get them through the long hot summer has severely drained my powers - although I feel sure it's only temporary.

I failed totally to turn the AZ Sonoran desert green this time around, leading to much wailing and knashing of dentures. I departed with my reputation severely tarnished.

This appearance of the very first signs of the much-vaunted 'global warming' phenomena in the Toon is yet further stark evidence of my declining powers. With another Bank holiday Monday looming let's just hope this hiatus is indeed temporary, as a sunny BHM would indeed confirm that life as we know it has changed - perhaps forever!!

Oh NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO - the Battersby Legs - is the North east ready for such a sight...................its because of that kind of sight that the sun doesn't shine very often in the North East or North West......I take it that if you are considering the short, the temperature has crept just over freezing point has it?

Meanwhile at a teleprinter at Klaus Hachmeyer's bedsit:

"...agent Hachmeyer, your mission, should you choose to accept it, is to prevent Les Battersby from exposing his legs at St James' Park. We cannot allow this sort of mental cruelty to be perpetrated on women and children..."

I hope you realise that this means that Perez will no longer be struck down by a sniper's bullet this afternoon....oh, the humanity!

Clarky,

I would imagine that the vast amount of saline solution shed on Wearside next season will go some way to redress the balance, whilst the vast amounts of urine bound to be hosed over all-comers at SJP could mean flood conditions being reintroduced.
