An Rpg is a video game,(you know like playstation game or 64 game or something)and the RPG stands for R=role,P=playing,G=game, role playing game.I know that there is different types like Justice likes but you'd have to ask him about them.Hope this helped you out and everything.Did any of you like my digimon page or POKEMON page, they went inactive so I'm guessing U guys didn't.

A role playing game is where you create a character and role play it, like people in a play. These games are usually split into categories such as Tabletop (games where the players sit around a table and usually use dice rolls to decide things) or LARP (Live Action Role Play, where you act as if you were on stage in a play.) Youre character has "stats" and ratings... for virtually every game I've ever seen, you are required to have a character sheet which lists what yor character is good at and what he or she sucks at.

Here is an example of a roleplaying session. (I can give you a good one, since I am STing a game right now... mroe ont his later.)

Name- Marou

Type- Werewolf

Tribe- Shadow Lords

Strength- 3

Appearance- 1

Intelligence- 5

...and so on.

Also, we have an abbreviated way of communicating:

OOC- Out Of Character, i.e. for real. EXAMPLE- And then I wait a second, OOC, what can my character do about this?

IC or BIC- In Character or Back In character. When you return to behaving and acting out your character.

ST- Story Teller. The person in charge of a game, and an inforcer/maker of the rules.

GM- Game Master. Like an ST, only this person can also take the letters and call his or herself God Manifest. :P

DM- Dungeon Master. A D&D exclusive term. I don't use it since I don't (yet) actively play Dungeons and Dragons.

Any more questions? :)

Nope. That pretty much covers it. Thank you Justice and Candyman.
