Okay, some may think this is a stretch, but I have been noticing that althought we know virtually nothing about Malucci's character (other than med school in the Caribbean), that he might actually be a rather emotionally fragile character. Bear with me, now.

He got REALLY furious about the little girl that was raped by her father, his work is really lacking, and he tried incredibly hard to be "SuperDoc." (As in, Call me Dr. Dave.)

Perhaps he had a molestation in his childhood, or other problems that cause him to act out in lots of inappropriate ways, and to have reactions like the one we saw with the little girl. Consequently, after his tongue lashing by Elizabeth, it could be possible that he would try to kill himself.

Just my theory. Anybody else?

Gosh, I hope not (although it did occur to me).

I'm really hope the Star is wrong on this one (the alleged impending suicide). Another death of a main character is not what this show needs. They've not yet dealt with the last one.

I just read in another thread that Eric Palladino signed a 4 year contract. Do you think "The Star" is anxious for an ER cast member to off themselves?? A lot of the incoming questions seem to be referencing the Star as source material, and a number of them have dealt with "someone's" suicide...or maybe they're desperate for readers...

Okay, I am responding to my original question. I think what I forgot to put in there was that it would be a suicide ATTEMPT. Obviously if he has a contract then he would be unlikely to actually die, unless like Kellie Martin he wanted off the show.

A friend at work mentioned a possible suicide by Dr. Dave. As soon as he said it, I thought"Now that would make sense after the deal with Elizabeth last night." Who knows? I am looking forward to next week!

I jave seen an awful lot of threads about character possibly committing suicide. I have seen Carter (which I understand), and Carol (stretching it a little)but Dave and Luka? Where do people get these ieas from?
