Doug and Carol (and JM & GC) still have the magic!

Even after 16 months apart these two still have it. WOW! What an awesome ending to two of my all-time favorites on ER. They still have the magic as a couple and as two actors who always appeared to enjoy each other in every scene they did. A special thanks to NBC, Warner Bros. and MR. John Wells for making it happen. And especially thanks to two wonderful actors, Julianna Margulies and George Clooney who always made my Thursdays evenings a little extra special!! I'll miss them both so much!!!

You're right, they do!! A magic like that is never lost, and it's clear that George Clooney & Julianna Margulies enjoy one another in real- life, as well. :-) This was fantastic!!!!

I was thinking the other day that I really don't have one favorite episode of ER. I always liked them equally. Well that changed last night! Such sweet sorrow was FANTASTIC!!! I can hardly wait to watch it again tonight.

I am new to this forum. I found it after the episode in which Lucy gets stabbed. I have really enjoyed reading the reviews. (This new one will be great, I'm sure) I also like reading everyones opinions on the episodes. "Mrs. Clooney" you must be on cloud 9 today. It made me sad to think that not only will we won't have our favorite show for a few months, we won't have much to discuss over the summer.

I am a huge Luka fan! Poor thing. As much as I like Carol, did she have to lead him on again? I don't think she need to kiss him and make dinner plans in order to realize her feelings fo Doug. I think the cancer family took care of that. Maybe next week's school shooting will take his mind off of his romantic troubles.

Gotta get back to work...

Does anyone know the song they played last night?

This was indeed glorious! I keep wishing, however, that the story is tied up by the following: a wedding (good idea with 2 kids, etc.) seeing Doug with the twins, and seeing how Carol will make the move from Chicago to Seattle (assuming that she will, anyway.) Maybe take her mum with her, even. It would be even cooler for Carol to get to stay home and raise the girls for a few years, too, especially after the past 5 months...anyway, I think Doug'll be a happy man now.

Lisa...I AM on cloud nine...I am still thinking about it, and every time I get all emotional and nostalgic!!!! (how pathetic huh?)

Emma, I was hoping to see her move away too, I know it is to be assumed that there will be an emotional goodbye, but I want to SEE it. Poor Luka, I wish too that he didn't have to get hurt. If Doug weren't around, I'd want them together, but he is. They're both wonderful.

DId anyone notice how after Doug asks about the girls, and they look at each other awhile, Carol closes her eyes and then smiles the "old Carol smile" as if she's thinking, 'finally'...like her relief, her happiness is finally back. And I think it was what Julianna Margulies was thinking too in this scene...she wanted this scene as much as us, and George Clooney gave it to her. yay!

I have thought all along that GC would appear, but got a little nervous last night as the show was winding down and he wasn't around. When she pulled up at his house, I was on the edge of my seat. As soon as I could clearly see his face, I started screaming and clapping and bouncing up and down. I said, "I'm so excited! I can't believe it, I'm so excited!" She rolled her eyes and said, "No kidding!" :) That kiss was *perfect*!!! Can you all tell how excited I am? :) I'm getting ready to watch it again. This is definately a favorite with me!

Sorry, the "she" I'm referring to is my roommate.

First. I loved it. Great ending. Now, I'm thinking that we'll hear about how things are going for them through Mark. Maybe somebody will ask him in the future, how things are going with Doug and Carol in Seattle and he'll let us know. We wont see them of course, but we'll at least hear how they're doing... Anybody else think that could happen?
