Answers

Steve Harper Warren Barton Christov Helder Steve Howey Nicos Dabizas Kieron Dyer Gary Speed Nolberto Solano Rob Lee Alan Shearer Kevin Gallacher

---------------------------------------------------------------------- ----------

And on the bench are: Shay Given, Didier Domi, Alain Goma, Duncan Ferguson

IMHO Howey shouldn't make the team a few compassionate votes there i think. I think the job that Ferguson did for us has been underestimated by many and for all Gallagher's great running Dunc put the ball in the back of the net. Otherwise it pretty much picks itself, although I've just noticed no Aaron Hughes.......

ITK, my results were very similar to yours with the exception of Domi in for Helder This link wont work as I'm sober

Ken, excellent site you have there, but shouldn't the POTTY award go to either Dunc Jnr or PeteT Jnr, unless maybe NAPPY award would be more appropriate.

Sorry, it's the NUFC stadium jacket, TSM model...

RIK: Yes, I looked at your site after we closed the voting and saw it was pretty much the same.....but I think that that was probably to be expected. Your voting has been running all season, ours only for a couple of weeks, but if you multiply our votes to 'cover' the same period of time, the numbers would almost match perfectly.

DE BUILDER: I didn't place the players, I only collected the votes.....although I must admit I was suprised that no one voted for Hughes.

Regarding Big Yin and Howey........in fact, the difference between a place in the team and a place on the bench was so slight, it came down to single vote between Big Yin and Gallacher for the final forward slot, and with Howey, he polled on his own the exact same number of votes as Goma and Domi did together.

The most surprising was the overall favourite.........it started as a two horse race between Al and Dabs, then dabs fell away and Barton came strong, then he fell away slightly while the General rallied, but then a final push yesterday saw Barton close to within one vote of tying the lead.

Finally, One person voted for Speed as overall favourite.......isn't it rumoured that he logs into our sites - curious or what!
