AHHHH i'm STILL jumping up and down

greenspun.com : LUSENET : ER Discussions : One Thread

Ohhhhh I just finished watching the final epi and I can't believe that Doug was actually on the show!!!!! I kept saying is it him or is it just a stand in. But the closer he came i just started saying OMG OMG over and over and crying and laughing all at the same time. I didn't think that i was this much emotionally charged over this whole Carol/Doug thing. The whole epi made me can't wait for summer to be over just so I can start watching a whole bunch of new shows!!!! ALSO...I can say that GC is looking VERY yummy lately. He most definitley has that mature comehither look. That is one man that I would never kick out of bed for eating crackers!!!!!!!!!! One last b*tch that I just have to get off my chest. Abby is really getting on my nerves. I wish they would get rid of her.

OMG, I know what you mean!! I keep watching that last scene, and I am SO thrilled yet in disbelief that Clooney was in the episode!! Doug & Carol have reunited and it was better than I could have ever imagined!! AAH!!!!!!!!!!!! :-)

I'm with you guys...I can't wait to talk about it tomorrow, since most people probably didn't know. OMG, can you imagine how I'd been if I hadn't known (which I wish I hadn't!) I'd of gone nutz, I already was. I still can't get over it, I can't believe it was him! I know he must have come back because Julianna wanted it so badly, what a great guy huh? EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!

I am very happy with the ending! Even if we had known that Carol was going off to be with Doug, it wouldn't have been the same as seeing them reunite, and seeing them both so happy. I am so glad that they gave us such a complete and total happy ending.

And I am sick of Abbey too. I hope their writers drop by sites like these to see how the fans feel!

George Clooney and Maria Bello Set to Star in Upcoming Movies- April 21:George Clooney is set to star in summer movie "The Perfect Storm." Alongside fellow "Three Kings" star Mark Walhberg, the movie opens June 30. It recieved a 9 out of 10 rating... I know the book was good) Similarly, Maria Bello (formerly played Anna Del Amico) will also be entering the summer movie scene. She will be starring in Jerry Bruckenheimer's "Coyote Ugly," along with Piper Perabo. The movie is slated for release on August 4, and recieved a 6 out of 10 rating. Source- this came from two separate articles in the April 28/May 5, 2000 issue of Entertainment Weekly.

I saw a picture of Maria Bello with like 6 other girls as an ad for the movie, and she plays something like a prostitute or a stripper/bar dancer...it looks very odd, but maybe it has a good meaning behind it. I don't know, I think she should have stuck with ER, give Carter the loving he needs right now!

Okay, I could be very wrong here, but isn't The Perfect Storm based on a true story of a really bad storm that nobody survives? I don't think I want to see George Clooney die in the sea now that Doug and Carol are living safely in Seattle in my mind. Oh my gosh, thank goodness Carol showed up when she did, I hope he doesn't get in that boat! (Actually, I heard the book is excellent, so I am sure the movie will be good too.)

If you want to see ER folk in movies: Dr. Dave is in U-571 playing in theatres right now. It has gotten very good reviews. Dr. Dave plays a similar-type character to the one on ER. He's got the brash, excitable young guy act down cold. He does look good in his Navy whites. Too bad he couldn't have brought one of his ER doctor buddies along as they sorely needed one on his ship.

I was jumping all over the bed last night when I saw Doug! I just KNEW when they started showing Carol running through the airport that we'd have to see him. I prayed she wouldn't just go to the door and that'd be it. And I half expected to see him pop out at County!! SO glad he didn't though!! When I saw him, OMG!!! I was like "KISS KISS KISS KISS KISS!!!!" WONDERFUL!!!! Best way possible!

I am with all of you guys. At first I was expecting him to show up at the hospital (which I am glad he did not). Then when they showed Carol walking towards the boat,I kept saying to my husband, "is that George, is that George or is it just someone that is suppose to be "Doug". Then when they got closer together, and I saw that it was George my heart starting pounding so bad, I was so excited to see them together. I cannot believe there were not more leaks to his surprise appearance. I am so elated that he showed up. What an incredible ending.

i'm with you Christy i was like is that him or just someone who looked like him?????? i just sat there going OMG OMG over and over. It had to be one of the best endings of a character other then Lucy. What a great epi. One for the history books that is for sure.

regarding Doug's slow walk up to Carol (is that George? is it not?): I bet the writers did that on purpose. It was WONDERFUL! If there was an ER writer here write now, I'd kiss him!!

-- joy (joygirl01@yahoo.com), May 12, 2000.

Yes, Kristi, The Perfect Storm (SPOILER FOR PERFECT STORM FOLLOWS) is based on a true story and, unless they change it to make a happpy ending, George Clooney's character will not make it. Sorry!

I really loved the scene last night with GC and JM. I'd heard he was definitely going to be on, so I kept expecting him to show up at the ER to see Mark about his dad's death. Her going to him was a little bit of a surprise, though the ads during Friends and Frasier should have told me what would happen. I stayed up for nearly two more hours on the phone (long-distance) with friends talking about the epi (okay, and catching up). I'd called my sister who loved JM and GC earlier to tell her he'd show and she called me back to say she'd have to tape it because she couldn't watch and cry before going to work (she's on thirds). Anyway, seeing GC on ER last night was just what the doctor ordered. :)

Regarding ER people in movies: Sherry Stringfield will be in Richard Gere's movie called August in New York. And did anyone see Carlos Gomez (Raul) on Family Law Monday night? I think he's been on it before as an attorney.

Me again! I also meant to say that I think the filmed the scene with Carol and Doug outside of the ER so they could do it as secretly and quietly as possible and keep it from the press as long as possible, which they certainly accomplished.

I just noticed this watching the last scene of "Such Sweet Sorrow" for the, oh i dunno, 3,000th time. As most of u know, GC is in the upcoming movie "The Perfect Storm", which is based on a true story about a boat that sinks as a result of a huge storm off the coast of the pacific northwest (hint, hint). Did anyone notice then when we first saw Doug/GC on the dock, he looked like he was getting ready to go on the boat? Pretty ironic, huh?
