Impatience

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Unofficial Newcastle United Football Club BBS : One Thread

I HATE this time of year I always get impatient awaiting the news of impending transfer activity and get frustrated with news bulletins on 5live driving home from work when the Toon are not mentioned. This year it seems worse and the silly season is not really in gear yet. Is it because I dont have our boat to go and fish after work or a Bacardi Gold and Coke to sip underneath our palm trees? I actually have more optimism and therefore expectation this year than for a while and this is adding to the problem. Will Bobby be busy and when will it all begin Help

I was watching Sky tonight and saw Bobby Charlton playing with some school kids in the Bahamas, strangely they weren't wearing Man U shirts but the stripes of newcastle United. I wonder why they associate thenmselves with Newcastle who hardly have the STARS that Man United can boast. At the start of next season, I don't think there will be more than 3 new arrivals and non that will get the pulses racing< So why do these overseas kids want to support Newcastle?

u sure it wasnt Paraguay??? NUFC sent a load of tops over when Gavilan signed+a recent clip showed Charlton in amongst them.

Its true. People abroad still like us. I had someone in my room here in Seattle last week who saw my NUFC calendar and commented how much they supported us. Mind you - he did want something from me!

Surely you wouldn't give up a Toon calendar for that Sting?
