Would you risk it?

No... not another affairs thread.... back to NUFC.

It looks like big Dunc is a possible starter for the Arsenal match. Is it worth the risk of playing him in a meaningless match or should Bobby let him rest and get fit for next season? If he has a set back he could waste most of the summer recovering rather than build up his fitness. The same goes for a few other players like Pistone.

not worth it for us, but if they are considering selling him it is - otherwise all the rumours will be that he is crocked and out for months etc

Following on from my recent posting on the Affairs Thread (re: Superstition!)....

I'd just like to say in advance that Newcastle are going to absolutely f*****g SPANK Arsenal this weekend.....put your house on it!!!

Sorry if posting about my sexual prowess offends anyone....I can't help being a "Tart" ;))

Remember who you've all got to thank after the match this weekend!!

I think we may see Dunc starting on the bench and playing the last 20 minutes or so.

Gav,

I suppose your motto is "will to win"

I wouldn't risk Dunc. Stick young Robinson in there and tell him to play for his Toon future. Failing that give young Chopra a game (is he back from his travels yet?) It would let people know that we have a youth policy!

nothing to lose, stick in one of the Caldwells as well and Griffin and Green in the middle.

Sorry I'd risk it....

Every game is there to be won.....I don't believe that there is such a thing as a meaningless match....winning is a habit and YBR has to transmit that to the players!

We HAVE to win this to make sure we finish above the Smoggies. Not even thinking about a league position as that always puts a jinx on it!

Gav and Steph are right. What's more, the fans deserve to see a winning end to a proper 'mare of a season. Good chance of seeing a depleted Arse side too with the UEFA final and that.

According to the Ronnie Dunc hasn't trained and probably won't play on Sunday.

We have to beat Arsenal to be above the Smogs cos i have a tenner bet with a part time smogmonster who didn't have the bottle to back his team until we had taken one point from seven games. This will offset the amount I have already lost on NUFC since the start of the season.

#10 to a chelsea fan that we would beat them in the semi final #5 to the same Chelsea fan that SAFC wouldn't beat us in any competition this year #5 to a leeds fan that Mackem reject would score less goals than DF, he wouldn't back against AS #10 with the same Leeds fan that we would finish above them

I did win #10 off two cockneys at work by offering them 50-1 that we wouldn't be relegated when we again had 1 point from 7 games.

So if we finish above the smogs I will only be a tenner down on NUFC related bets this year after a bad season. Goes to show you should never back your own team.

Don't get me started on the other bets I've lost
