When will the 3030 review be online?

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Imaging Resource Discussion : One Thread

I wouldn't make a purchase without reading what you folks have to say, but I was hoping to buy this weekend and I have to decide between the 990 and the 3030. Is there any chance that your review will be up soon?

Thanks for all of the wonderful information you provide.

Sorry for (a) the delay in answering your post, and (b) the delay in the 3030 review! I'm just in the final edits on it, and it'll go off to Eric for layout tonight. What with final QC checking, etc, it'll still be a few days before it's up, but I'm expecting Thursday, 5/18 will be the day. - Thanks for your patience! (I've added a couple of helpers, whose efforts are just beginning to be felt: We should be able to get the reviews posted much more quickly in the near future!)

I suggest you look at the Casio QV3000EX before you buy.

I'm also very keen to see a review of the 3030. The 2020 was voted 'best buy' in two UK mags, but slated in another for 'soft images'. PC Mag rater the 2020 as the best, with the Nikons all following afterwards. They hated the Casio QV2000 (no news yet on the 3000) because its pictures were over-sharpened and 'false', a criticism I have of Fuji and Kodak cameras. I have still not seen anything to match my Canon Pro Shot 70, but it's such a bulky monster, and the batteries are a nightmare.

We want a 3030 review!
