On the news section of the official site, yesterday or the day before, they ran a story I think the title was "Hey Big Spender"

The gist of the story seems to be that they are proud of the fact that we have spent more money than anyone else. Never mind the result of all that money!!!

If that is an "Official" statement I would be concerned.

Is this a case of dumbing down the news again then? Do the powers that be think that the average Newcastle fan will be proud to think that `we spent the most money`, but stupid enough not to extend the thought to `but what did we gain from it`? It does make you wonder sometimes!

It seems like NUFC pays very little attention to what appears on their site and is content to let some paid slave at Planetonline just get on with things. It would explain why the "news" section is often filled with stories nearly taken verbatim from the press...and hours AFTER they've appeared in the press.

A work permit and decent salary is all I ask...... ;-)
