Media scum continued........

Softie, are you a Ferrari fan? I hope not. I hate F1 but take a small interest in it because I like to see Ferrari fail to win the driver's championship every year. Ferrari are the Newton Heath of F1. Loads of people say they are fans but none of them are from anywhere near Italy. The likes of Murray von Walker getting erect about the cheating "square heed" make me want to vomit.

I do agree about the media though. Especially the "United" thing. Which F.....G United you b......s!!!!! I have to go now cos I'm full of drink. I do hope that I haven't been too much of a w....r.

Not a Ferrari fan, SMB, I've always been a square-heed fan. I love that man. From his first amazing race for Jordan to his seemingly effortless cruise to 2 World Championships in the third best car (Williams and Ferrari were way ahead of Benneton and he spanked all 4 of them).

That race in Brazil where Benneton claimed he was stuck in 5th gear and Muddly Talker and Jonathan "a*sehole" Palmer kept jabbering away as to how impossible it was that he was maintaining his speed in 5th until the producer told them both to shut up and listen to his engine when we were on board with him. Sure enough, he was throwing the car through the corners to slow it down, engine screaming, and only ever sounding healthy on the straits. Magnificent display of nerve, skill and will to win.

Stark contrast of when he ran into problems in Canada and kept going despite 2 extra 27 second pitstops and ended up in the points through others failing to finish, and the Hill, Villeneuve, Coulthard, Hakkinen habit of driving straight into the garage when it isn't all going their way. That's why the team around him always work so hard; they have the ultimate professional prepared to give his all and let them know exactly what's going on.

He's fitter, faster, calmer and mentally stronger than the rest of them put together. Tragedy that we were denied Schumacher and Senna going head-to-head the last 5 seasons. Would have made Lauda v Hunt and Mansell v Prost look like a stroll in the park. Man amongst boys. Seriously ruthless streak, but the flaw just makes him more interesting to watch. Stuff all the munchkins with their catalogues of excuses and driver-errors, the man's a winner and absolutely on top of his game. Watching him lap everyone else twice in the rain reamains the finest display I've ever seen.

I don't like Shumi but I admire him. Almost up there with Senna when it comes to driving talent. I agree with you Softie about a battle with Senna - that would have been something else!

Schumacher's so calm, so controlled. Did you see the way he gently elbowed "Little Bro" out the way on Sunday to let Barrichello thru? Wheels locked yet no contact. Amazing. I'm not a fan of Ferarri. With the resources they have, they should easily win the championship each year and the comparisons with the other reds is well taken SMB. Even to the extent that things on the GP track are getting as boring as those at OT.

Don't get me on about the changes I would make to make it more interesting - unless the poisoned dwarf is reading this.

Blimey! It`s like listening to my husband! Our weekends revolve around motor sport - apart from the occasional clashes at the beginning and end of the season when there is a conflict of interest with football! Pete`s a big fan of blockhead! I can take it or leave it now, it can be a bit dull and processional these days. Mind you, I never felt the same about Grand Prix after Senna was killed. I both admired and hated him, but watching that race here on my own (Pete was in Kenya) I was really shocked and upset. I also revised my opinion of old noddyhead too on that day. Poor man was so shaken up - I forgive him all the nonsense he spouts during a race now!
