Audio Line Level

Is there a device that will regulate the line level audio voltage to my capture card?

Thanks in advance,

Can't Windows volume control do this?? In PC-VCR a one stop solution is the inclusion of the audio button in the general properties which will bring out the Windows audio mixer program. You of course have to customize Windows volume control first to show these. The one thing I'm puzzled is "line in" playback volume controls the level, as opposed to "line in" in recording volume control which has an elementary bar graph level meter at that.

What I ment was the actual physical voltage going into the audio card from the external device (dvd player, dss box).

I think I'm just going to use a varible resistor on the input to drop the voltage.
