Hi everybody! Im looking to get to digi-photo from a film-photo. But there are some goal limitations which influence my choice of camera. The main task of my future camera is to take photos of ballroom dances. Technically it means: Object  single/couple full-figure and half-figure dynamic portraits; Distance  3-8 meters (9-25 ft.) Light conditions: artificial light, mostly very poor: at the moment, without any flash it takes Kodak 3200+2.8+1/125 to make suitable picture. Longer shatters are usable only for special effects because of the dynamic nature of the objects.

The question is: what combination of camera+external flash/flashes (2-3 ?) will meet my wishes?

PS. The price of the camera itself (without flashes) must not exceed 1000$.
