They saw me coming in Freeport

I got to the Bahamia Casino in Freeport (Previously the Princess) last week for the Over/Under game. Unfortunately, they had just discontinued the game at all tables. They still had the plastic placards on the tables declaring that you could bet the O/U bet for $5-$100, but they wouldn't let me bet it. They must have heard the dreaded PitViper was coming to town.

They are building a new, very big casino in Freeport, but it won't open for another year or more. The Bahamia had a decent shoe game, with six decks, about one cut off by some dealers, and 1.5 by others. DAS, S17, so it's playable, but a big dissappointment in terms of O/U. I won a little, but not enough to pay for the trip. All tables are Shufflebater, uh, Mastershuffle, uh, you know what I mean, untrackable.

I stopped in Tunica twice. First leg was a winner, but the second leg I lost slightly more than I won, so just about a breakeven overall. I'll spare you the session details since this was on my own money. I only played the GoldStrike, Horseshoe, and Sheraton. I had my worst session ever at the GS. Played the $25 SD table about midnight, heads up. This is the SD game with DAS, and I lost 40 units in 45 minutes, without ever betting more than 4 units. The next day I had two winning sessions at the same table, totaling 50 units in about three hours. During the winning streak, I played against a dealer named Mark, who was the only dealer at GS who dealt six rounds heads up. All others were rule-of-six. Most of my play was during the week, and I was able to get heads-up much of the time at all casinos. At the Horseshoe, I played DD for a while when the SD games were too busy, but I never seem to do as well at DD as SD. I won a little at DD, but it was very slow. I went to Sheraton, where I met a dealer named Sue. She's big, blonde, and worth avoiding. She dealt herself five bj's out of the first ten hands. Yep, heads up, shuffle shuffle, bj, bj etc. Five rounds per shuffle, and she gets five bj's in two shuffles. I hate this game.

If you are in town for the night, check out the Brett Daniels show at GS, its a very well done, big-production magic show that's worth seeing. Tix are $20 but you can get them comped for very little play.

My next stop will be Harrah's EChicago, and then on to Wendover in a couple of weeks. If anyone knows where there is an Over/Under game, please let me know; I studied the count system for eight hours one night to get back up to speed on it, and to keep from counting fives as +2, and then didn't get to use it. jim

You might want to correspond with John May (Green Baize Vampire). He lives in England and played a lot of O/U at one time. rumor has it there may still be some games in the UK.

Perhaps you could send me details of some of the wendover shuffles to analyse. Harrah's Chicago East is definitely easily trackable.

Wendover shuffle

I have only played SD in wendover. I'll be going there in a week or two, so I'll check the shuffle if I find any shoes. The double exposure game is six deck, and the shuffle was a single pass last time I looked. I believe they think this game is unbeatable, and pay no attention to the shuffle, or to the players. PV
